Eco Friendly Baby Shower Favors
These favors were commissioned by my
dear friend Rosemary who was playing hostess for an eco friendly
baby shower. She was looking for something with low environmental
impact and something that matched her 'baby feet' shower theme.
Taking into consideration how hot it can be in the low country in
July, we decided it would be nice for the favors to also serve as
fans. This is the result:
The paper for the fans is 80% recycled.
The small 'world' is punched out of plantable wildflower seed paper
and stamped to look like a globe. The poem reads:
"The whole world is made so sweet
By blooming flowers and tiny feet
So plant this globe, watch it grow
And think about the seeds you sew
To celebrate this happy news
Keep your own foot print tiny
For baby Hughes . . ."
I was very pleased with how they turned
out and Rosemary said they were a hit at the party!
