Vintage Love: Good to the last drop!
You all may have noticed that I like
vintage things. One of my favorite vintage possessions is a
Universal electric coffee percolator. I love it for several
reasons: it used to be my grandmother's, it has lovely retro
styling, and last, but not least, it makes one heck of a cup of
coffee. The maker's mark on the bottom (Landers, Frary &
Clark-New Brittain, Conn.) indicates that it was made sometime
before 1964 when this particular company was bought out by General
Electric. That is nearly five decades of quality percolating!
Nothing wrong with that!
