Real Wedding: Michelle & Jim Part 1

I am so excited about the upcoming nuptials of my good friends Michelle & Jim. I am fortunate to be Michelle's Matron of Honor, and I have been having such fun helping with the wedding details. Michelle's vision is for a wedding full of old Hollywood style glamour and the event will be held in a lovely theater in the historic hamlet of Brevard, NC. It's going to be amazing and I can't wait!

One of the small details I helped Michelle pull together are these invitations for the rehearsal dinner. I pulled inspiration from her wedding color pallet (red, cream, and black) and her damask wedding invitations and came up with these:

For the invitation graphics, I used a free template provided by the fine folks at
Nonpareil Magazine. If you are not familiar with Nonpareil, you are missing out. Each month they publish a swoon-worthy online collection of all things wedding and they are kind enough to dole out some amazing free downloads. These Ornamental border invitations by Erin Vale of Vale Design come with matching RSVP cards and are available in three colorways. I used black graphics and black text, accented with a deep red text for the couples' names on cream card stock. I paired the invitations with deep red envelopes and BRIDES Ivory Flock letter seals both from Michael's. So pretty, right? I am so pleased with the results, and most importantly, so is the bride.
